The Luigi Martinale Trio
A tribute to Bill Evans

The Italian Pianist Luigi Martinale and the members of his trio have collaborated for about 10 years and developed a special sound and a telepathic understanding.
Martinale, the student of the great pianists Enrico Pianonessi and Franco D'andrea, is affected in his playing by his Italian roots, from classical music and from modern jazz pianists. The five disks he recorded as a leader in the ensemble are acclaimed and have received great reviews worldwide.

In a special production, at the request of the festival, the trio will dedicate their first show in Israel to adaptations of Martinale to numbers that were composed, or that became classics at the hands of the legendary Jazz pianist Bill Evans.

Yuval Cohen, eldest son from the Cohen musical family, plays the saxophone soprano, has created over the years a special attitude for playing that expresses itself in the importance he attributes to melody and estheticism of the sound.
The wonderful ensemble Yuval formed especially for this act will enable him to set free his love for the jazz tradition, while exposing one of his new and original pieces.

The Franz Koglmann Trio
"When Bacharach meets the old Master"

The music which Franz Koglmann creates and performs, deals with searching for the new and the unknown, and integrates in it elements from jazz and from modern-classical music.

In his debut show in Israel he will perform a duet with the pianist Oscar Ikinger, In which they take the known tunes of the American composer Bert Bacharach on a voyage to the unpredictable.
In the second part of the show, the two will be joined by the drummer Wolfgang Reisinger, who will complete the ensemble "The Old Master" ("Alte Meister"). The three will perform the new tunes of Koglmann.

Ofer Ganor and Omri Mor

A unique duet that brings together two of the prominent players in the Israeli jazz scene – Ofer Ganor a frontrunner in the Israeli jazz guitar players who's playing is characterized in the fine sensitive interpretations to the pieces he plays, and Omri Mor, the young and brilliant pianist who surprises with his confident and impressive playing. The two will integrate into the act original pieces and unique performances through to known standards.

Ganors experience, who played alongside Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Jim Rotondi and Mors bursting talent insure a fascinating and diverse evening.

Daphne Levy

Daphne Levy, The student of the famous voice-training teacher Cole Seth Riggs (Los Angeles) participated in projects that demonstrate a wide range of musical tastes, in Israel and abroad, in ensembles that move from duets through to big band.
In her show Daphne will perform standards and jazz performances to pop world songs.
